10: High Blood Pressure

Before we dive into this, re-read #9 above. There are all sorts of reasons your blood pressure might be high; hypothyroidism is just one of the many different reasons. People with thyroid issues are much more susceptible to things like sodium and stress and sleeplessness, and these things can cause your blood pressure to go up. There’s also the fact that blood vessels can become stiffer and thus much slower to flow with thyroid issues (hypo and hyper), and this can cause palpitations and chronically high blood pressure.
