10 Symptoms of Appendicitis

10. Diarrhea

Some people also experience the opposite of constipation as a symptom of appendicitis. Just as appendicitis can cause constipation, it can also cause diarrhea. As with the other GI-related issues diarrhea can be caused by a wide variety of other factors. Diarrhea is usually caused by eating food that simply disagrees with your stomach. This is similar to the issue with not being able to pass gas. Generally, you don’t have much to worry about if you only have diarrhea for a handful of hours. But if it persists for an abnormal amount of time then it’s important to seek medical attention. You might be tempted to simply use antidiarrheal medications. But if you are suffering from appendicitis then masking the symptom will only serve to delay getting you the actual help you need.
