10 Symptoms of Appendicitis

The end effect is that the pain associated with a state of rest will tend to increase over time as the effects of appendicitis grow.

7. Sensitivity Toward Abdominal Pressure and Release

When doctors diagnose appendicitis they often begin with a technique called rebound tenderness. The doctor carefully pushes down on the lower right area of one’s abdomen. The doctor isn’t looking for signs of pain when he applies pressure. Instead, he observes whether or not the patient experiences pain when the abdominal pressure is released. Standard stomach aches typically don’t cause discomfort when pressure is released, but appendicitis will.
