10 Symptoms of Liver Cirrhosis

The liver is one of the most important organs in the human body. Unfortunately, it’s also one of the most susceptible to damage. The liver filters blood and deals with sugar and fats and everything you consume. That’s why the over-consumption of alcohol can lead to serious liver damage and even a condition called cirrhosis. This is what happens when the liver is receiving long-term damage, as it scars up and then becomes nothing but a permanent scar, so to speak. The liver is overcome by scar tissue and is no longer able to filter blood or process what you consume. If caught in its early stages, cirrhosis is manageable. That’s why it’s important to be aware of the warning signs. Here are some things to look out for when dealing with your liver.

1. Unnatural Bleeding

There are many different reasons that people bleed a lot when cut, and all these conditions have names and treatment options. Though cirrhosis is also another reason a small knick may not stop bleeding. Some people with cirrhosis can cut themselves shaving and that small slit in their skin will bleed profusely. This is what happens when the body has a low level of blood platelets to form clots that stop the bleeding. No matter what it ends up diagnosed as, it’s important to go seek help if you suffer from unnatural bleeding with small wounds.
