10 Symptoms of Sjogren’s Syndrome

Unexplained Fever

As Sjogren’s syndrome progresses in the body, it can cause the heart, liver, kidneys, and other vital organs that play an important role in sustaining life to swell. This swelling can directly cause night sweats and a fever. Unfortunately, a fever cannot generally be narrowed down to a single condition before ruling out a considerable list of other possible diagnoses. Be sure to tell your doctor about any other symptoms you might be experiencing if you are already ill with a fever.

Lack of Energy

Feeling tired and worn down is another extremely common symptom of Sjogren’s syndrome. You might feel constantly tired or depleted on energy, and it can be difficult to carry out even basic, every-day tasks such as home upkeep or running simple errands. This symptom can occur in a sporadic fashion, or it can be consistently present. The feeling of being run down and tired can also be accompanied by difficulty to focus or maintain concentration for long periods of time. Be sure to speak to your doctor if you are experiencing this symptom along with any others.
