8. Elevating the Legs
When you have a bad back, you may be told to elevate your legs while you sleep. This is because this is a posture that really helps the muscles in your body relax completely. There is no tension here. If those nerves try to jolt your muscles with a signal, your muscles may be too relaxed to even notice. And those annoying urges to move just become a slight little tingle that you can definitely handle at this point.
9. Create a Comfort Zone
Some professionals postulate that one of the biggest problems people with RLS face is anxiety and tension (stress). While you might think you’re relaxing at night, there are a lot of things brewing under the surface of an anxious mind, and the subconscious mind can manifest itself in these RLS signals. Make sure your room is the right temperature, play some soft and relaxing music, and really create a place of comfort where you’re going to sleep. This will help a lot.
