Orange Juice

Orange juice may contain phytosterols, substances derived from plants and which can lower LDL cholesterol. These substances lower LDL the same way soymilk, milk, bread, and cheese does. You only need eight ounces of the juice and you are good to go. However, the sugar in orange juice raises your blood sugar level. As such, people with diabetes or pre-diabetes should consult their doctor before taking the medication.

Olive oil is rich in antioxidants. It also contains monounsaturated fats and phenols to lower LDL levels and lower the risk of blood clots respectively. Use the olive oil in your meals, two tablespoons will be enough.
