Irregular Heartbeat in Meniere’s Disease
Meniere’s disease is a condition characterized by recurring vertigo attacks, and some individuals may experience irregular heartbeats or heart palpitations before or during these episodes. Although researchers have yet to determine the exact cause of this phenomenon, it is generally observed in the advanced stages of the disease and is not a universal symptom. Fortunately, once the vertigo subsides, the irregular heartbeat typically returns to a normal rhythm, similar to the resolution of other accompanying symptoms such as nausea and sweating.
Sensitivity to Sound: A Common Symptom of Meniere’s Disease
Meniere’s disease, a disorder affecting the inner ear, can cause various symptoms, including sensitivity to sound. Individuals with Meniere’s disease may experience ear pain in response to certain noises. Typically, high-frequency sounds are the most common triggers for this sensitivity. However, in some cases, even soft noises at specific pitches can cause discomfort. Sound sensitivity is considered one of the more frequent warning signs of Meniere’s disease, as it is more distinctive compared to symptoms like nausea and vertigo.
