10 General Symptoms of Cellulitis

Signs of Cellulitis: Red Streaking and Skin Warmth

One of the telltale signs of cellulitis is the presence of red streaks along with warm and sensitive skin in the affected area. These red streaks indicate that the infection is spreading through the lymph vessels, which can further worsen the condition.

Fluid-Filled Blisters: A Sign of Cellulitis

A telltale sign of cellulitis is the presence of fluid-filled blisters. When abscesses form on the skin, they may start oozing a yellowish, translucent fluid beneath the surface, leading to the development of large blisters. These blisters are a result of the accumulation of bacteria and dead white blood cells. To treat this condition, antibiotics are often prescribed to eliminate the abscess, and in some cases, a doctor may need to perform a minor surgical procedure to drain the fluid through a small incision in the skin.
