10 General Symptoms of Concussion

Sensitivity to Light and Noise: A Common Symptom Following Head Injuries

Sensitivity to light and noise is a prevalent symptom that can manifest a few hours or days after sustaining a head injury. In more severe cases, this sensitivity may persist for an extended period of weeks or even months following the incident. It is not uncommon for individuals experiencing sensitivity to light and noise to also suffer from accompanying headaches, although it can also occur independently.

Memory Loss Following a Concussion

Memory loss following a concussion can occur as a result of chemical alterations or harm to the brain tissue. This type of memory loss may manifest immediately after the incident, impeding the injured individual’s capacity to recall the event. Alternatively, it may emerge gradually in the hours and days subsequent to the concussion.
