10 Home Remedies for Jock Itch

A problem among people that’s a lot more common than male athletes in sports, the condition jock itch is actually known as Tinea Cruris and is prone to set in on areas that are soft, warm, and moist. Of course, for men, this area accurately describes the “jock” region of the body, and so it has kept that nickname for quite some time. Though it is not a male-specific problem at all, nor does it need to occur in that region. It can happen on the inner thighs, the buttocks, and even in some cases the feet. Women can also pick this up. It’s basically a condition that can cause an infection to grow that will also spread fungus. There are all sorts of remedies for jock itch, including these 10 home remedies you may not have known about.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Not all apple cider vinegar is the same. There’s the organic variety with the “mother” in it, which looks like a big blob at the bottom of the bottle. This potent stuff can do a lot of good for the body. For jock itch specifically, what you want to do is mix two tablespoons with two cups of warm water, and rinse the infected area with it. Allow the vinegar solution to stay on the area and don’t rinse it away, so that the vinegar can work its magic by sapping up that bacteria. You can repeat this a few times per day until the infection is gone.
