Drink Enough Water
Water is the component of all cells in your body. It helps enhance body functions, especially kidney function. When you take enough water, the kidneys will function better in removing waste products and the fluids that cause swelling in body tissues. Take the recommended eight glasses of water every day and your ankles will be okay. However, taking more water can exacerbate certain conditions, such as pulmonary edema and congestive heart failure. If you have such conditions, talk to your doctor before considering taking more water. As you take more water, watch your electrolytes intake to maintain a balance.
