Skin Infection
When bursitis is caused by an infection, it can potentially affect the deeper tissues, resulting in a condition known as cellulitis. Cellulitis is characterized by heightened pain, inflammation, and redness in both the skin and the underlying tissue. In some cases, clusters of small blisters may also develop on the affected area.
Malaise
Experiencing malaise is a common occurrence for individuals with bursitis, whether it is septic or not. This feeling of general discomfort and poor health often leads to persistent fatigue, which may not improve even with adequate rest. However, as the condition improves and the body’s effort in fighting inflammation or infection decreases, this symptom should gradually fade away.
