Disturbed Bowel Function in Endometriosis
Endometriosis can cause symptoms that resemble those of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). This can make it challenging to diagnose the condition accurately, especially in the early stages. Common symptoms of disturbed bowel function in women with endometriosis include diarrhea and constipation. These symptoms are also prevalent in other conditions, further complicating the diagnostic process. Additionally, women with endometriosis may experience bloating, diarrhea, and constipation during their menstrual periods. Pain during bowel movements is another common complaint among women with endometriosis.
