Feeling Satiated
Experiencing a sense of fullness after consuming a meal, particularly a light one, can indicate an underlying issue with the liver or stomach. This sensation of overindulgence, despite having consumed a small amount of food, may be accompanied by mild abdominal discomfort, stomach acid or reflux. Additionally, feelings of bloating and swelling can further contribute to a decreased appetite, leading to only consuming a few small bites before feeling satiated once more.
Feeling satiated and consuming minimal amounts of food has been associated with weight loss and a sense of melancholy regarding one’s overall well-being.
Abnormal bruising
Abnormal bruising, also known as hematoma, is a common occurrence for individuals with liver cancer. This is primarily due to having a low platelet count, which leads to easy bruising. Platelets play a crucial role in plugging the holes in blood vessels and forming blood clots to prevent excessive bleeding. When the platelet count is low, a condition called thrombocytopenia, bruises may appear even with minor injuries or impacts.
Hematomas, characterized by a black and blue discoloration of the skin, typically occur when the skin is forcefully banged or knocked. However, if you bruise easily, minimal trauma may be sufficient to cause a bruise to develop under the skin.
