Nausea and vomiting
Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms associated with dysmenorrhea. In addition to experiencing pain in various parts of the body, it is not uncommon to also feel nauseated. There are several factors and symptoms that can contribute to these feelings. It is possible to experience an upset stomach that is unrelated to your diet. In some cases, vomiting may even occur. When faced with these symptoms, it is recommended to lie down and rest. It is important to refrain from physical activity until the symptoms subside. If the discomfort becomes unbearable, medications can be taken to alleviate stomach discomfort and queasiness.
Feeling Dizzy and Experiencing Body Aches
One common symptom of dysmenorrhea is feeling dizzy or lightheaded. In some cases, this sensation may escalate to the point where you feel like you are on the verge of fainting. If you experience these symptoms, it is advisable to lie down and rest. While these symptoms are not typically serious, ignoring them may exacerbate the situation.
In addition to lightheadedness, you may also experience an overall achy feeling. In more severe cases of dysmenorrhea, this pain may extend throughout your entire body. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done to alleviate this discomfort. However, taking over-the-counter pain medication can help ease the pain. If you feel it would be beneficial, you may also consider taking a nap.
