Sign: Soft and Red Over Time
If you have molluscum contagiosum, you may observe changes in the appearance of the bumps over a period of six months or more. As your immune system battles the virus, the bumps may transition from pink or flesh-colored to a red hue. Additionally, the papules might become softer to the touch. After several months, you may also notice the development of drainage from the central dimple.
