10 Symptoms of Hernia

Urinary Problems: Hernias and Their Impact on Urination

Urinary problems can arise when the bladder becomes trapped within a hernia, a condition that can affect both men and women. There are two types of hernias that can cause this issue: inguinal hernias and femoral hernias. When the bladder is trapped, it may become difficult to urinate properly.

There are several signs that indicate the bladder is trapped within a hernia. These signs include changes in urination frequency, a burning sensation during urination, and a feeling of hesitancy when trying to urinate. Additionally, individuals may experience recurring urinary infections and the formation of bladder stones.

Unlike other urinary tract infections, these symptoms cannot be directly cured through the use of medications or dietary changes. The symptoms will only subside once the hernia is effectively treated and no longer poses a problem.

Lump or Swelling of the Scrotum

A scrotal hernia occurs when the swelling of the intestine descends into the scrotum. This can be identified by a tender and sore bulge in the scrotum caused by the descent of the inguinal hernia. It is important to be vigilant if you notice a small bulge under the skin, as it is easier to reposition it in the early stages when it is still small in size.
