10 Symptoms of an Intestinal Obstruction

6. Always Feeling Full

It’s important to remember that your body doesn’t shut down just because you have an intestinal obstruction. Things are still working just like they always did. So, imagine a highway tunnel where there’s a wreck up the road that nobody else sees. What happens? Everybody keeps driving into the wrecked cars. It’s the same here, and this particular “traffic backup” is going to have you feeling full most of the time as one of the possible symptoms.

7. A Lot of Vomiting

Most adults don’t vomit, at least not when sober or healthy. Vomiting is something our body pretty much irons out by the time we reach adulthood, and so you know there’s something wrong if you start throwing up a lot. An obstruction in the small intestine can actually cause things to back up so much that you start throwing up the contents of your stomach, simply to expel things from your body.
