10 Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis

Pain and Muscle Spasms in Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

In individuals living with multiple sclerosis (MS), it is not uncommon to encounter pain sensations across the body, accompanied by involuntary muscle spasms. Around half of all individuals diagnosed with MS experience some form of chronic body pain. The stiffness in muscles can pose significant challenges, particularly when it leads to abrupt movements or intense pain and spasms. Although this symptom predominantly affects the legs, it can also manifest in the back.

Lethargy and Weakness: Early Signs of Multiple Sclerosis

Early signs of multiple sclerosis often manifest as feelings of tiredness and weakness. Approximately 80 percent of individuals with MS experience fatigue. As the nerves in the spinal column progressively weaken and deteriorate, varying degrees of weakness emerge. This fatigue can persist for extended periods, leading to weeks or even months of continuous lethargy.
