Genital Warts
Condylomata lata is a common symptom of secondary syphilis that manifests as moist patches of skin in the genital area and around the anus. The severity and progression of the underlying disease determine the size and number of these warts. Experiencing intense itching, scratching them can lead to discomfort. While laser removal is an effective treatment option, it can be quite costly. Furthermore, after the removal procedure, patients are advised to refrain from wearing any clothing below their waist for about a week, which can pose challenges.
Fever and Syphilis
One of the symptoms that accompanies secondary syphilis is the development of fever and weakness in the affected individual. Although anti-inflammatory medications can provide temporary relief, the fever will persist until the syphilis infection is completely treated. Fevers are a common occurrence during severe illnesses as the body strives to maintain a constant internal temperature of approximately 36 degrees Celsius.
During the active phase of syphilis, the body’s immune system becomes highly active, engaging the lymphatic system and triggering a defense response. This heightened immune activity causes an increase in blood circulation, resulting in the body overheating. As a consequence, various organs are affected and their functioning may weaken, leading to a general feeling of illness and instability in the individual affected by syphilis.
