Causes of Lower Back Pain in Testicular Cancer
When testicular cancer is left untreated, it has the potential to metastasize and spread to different parts of the body. One area that can be affected is the peritoneum, a thin tissue layer that lines the abdomen and provides protection to organs like the bowel and liver. The peritoneum acts as a barrier against infections, but cancer cells have the ability to breach this barrier and infiltrate the structures surrounding the peritoneum, leading to the development of lower back pain.
Signs of Enlarged or Swollen Lymph Nodes in Testicular Cancer
In the case of testicular cancer, one common symptom is the enlargement and swelling of the lymph nodes. This swelling occurs as the cancer progresses to an advanced stage. Additionally, other organs may also be affected by the spread of the cancer. Late-stage testicular cancer is characterized by swollen lymph nodes, as well as dull pain in the lower back and abdominal area. Other symptoms associated with this disease include fatigue, shortness of breath, coughing, chest pain, headaches, and confusion.
