Skin Rash in HIV Patients
Individuals who contract HIV often experience the development of skin rashes, commonly found on the trunk, face, and limbs. In Caucasians, these rashes typically manifest as flat or slightly raised red spots or bumps. Conversely, in individuals with darker skin tones, the bumps may present as a shade of purple.
Nausea and Vomiting: Common Early Symptoms of HIV
It is estimated that around 30 to 60 percent of people infected with HIV experience short-term episodes of nausea and vomiting during the initial stages of the disease. These symptoms can often be misleading, as they may lead to a misdiagnosis of a gastrointestinal tract infection if doctors fail to consider other accompanying symptoms.
