Alcohol and Migraines: A Potential Trigger
Alcohol consumption has been known to be linked to migraine attacks, according to medical professionals. It is one of the most commonly reported triggers that can bring on a migraine attack within an hour of consumption. A study conducted in Brazil found that alcohol intake triggered headaches in approximately one-third of migraine patients. To manage migraines effectively, it is advisable for those affected to consume alcohol in moderation and avoid any alcoholic beverages that have previously triggered a migraine attack. Migraine sufferers should be cautious of alcohol containing sulfites or other impurities, as they can intensify the symptoms.
