Blood Clot in the Leg Symptoms

Feeling Exhausted

One of the symptoms that individuals with blood clots may encounter is a sense of weakness or fatigue. As the clot progresses, even moving from one room to another can become an exhausting task. After receiving treatment, around half of all people with a deep vein thrombosis or DVT may continue to experience prolonged pain, fatigue, or swelling in the leg that was affected.

Signs and Symptoms of Blood Clots in the Leg

Experiencing feelings of lightheadedness or dizziness can sometimes indicate the presence of blood clots in the leg. However, these symptoms should never be taken lightly, as they may signify a more severe condition known as pulmonary embolism. When a blood clot detaches and travels to the lungs, it can result in lightheadedness accompanied by fainting. It is crucial to seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of these warning signs, as pulmonary embolism is a life-threatening condition.
