Causes and Symptoms of Blepharitis

Symptom: Abnormal Growth of Eyelashes

Abnormal growth of eyelashes can indicate a potential case of blepharitis. When your eyelashes grow at different angles or in a misdirected manner, it is considered a symptom of blepharitis. This condition may also lead to a higher likelihood of experiencing eyelash loss.

Cause: Blocked Oil Glands

Although there isn’t a singular cause for blepharitis, there are various factors that can contribute to this eye condition. One of the main culprits is blocked oil glands in the eyelid. In certain instances, these glands may not be fully clogged but rather malfunctioning, leading to recurring symptoms.
