Symptom: Flu-Like Symptoms
When suffering from cholecystitis, individuals may experience symptoms similar to those of the flu. These can include feelings of nausea or vomiting, as well as experiencing fever and chills. It is important to note that gallstones can obstruct the normal flow of bile, potentially leading to a severe infection. If the liver is unable to eliminate bile properly, the ducts can become infected, resulting in a condition known as cholangitis. Common indications of this particular infection include fever and pain in the upper right abdomen. If you are experiencing fever and chills, along with jaundice, it is possible that you may be dealing with acute cholecystitis.
