LifeRing: A Secular Approach to Addiction Recovery

LifeRing Secular Recovery is a unique organization that offers an anonymous and abstinence-based approach to overcoming addiction. With its “3-S Philosophy” of sobriety, secularity, and self-help, LifeRing aims to empower individuals to take control of their recovery journey.

LifeRing provides a wide range of support groups to assist those struggling with addiction. However, their primary focus is on highlighting the importance of an individual’s personal efforts in achieving and maintaining sobriety. Participants are encouraged to attend at least one meeting per week, either in person or online.

Women for Sobriety: A Unique Approach to Addiction Recovery

Women for Sobriety offers a refreshing perspective on addiction recovery through its secular support groups. Exclusively designed for women, this organization recognizes and addresses the unique needs of women during their journey to sobriety. At the heart of its program are thirteen acceptance statements, which promote positive thinking and personal responsibility. These statements, such as “I am responsible for myself and for my actions” and “Negative thoughts destroy only myself,” empower women to take control of their lives and overcome addiction.
