Changes in Cherry Angiomas with Age
As individuals reach their 30s, they may begin to notice the development of cherry angiomas on their skin. These benign skin growths tend to increase in frequency and size as a person gets older. While cherry angiomas are typically harmless and do not cause any discomfort, they may bleed if they are accidentally picked or scratched.
Halos Around Cherry Angiomas
Halos around cherry angiomas are a relatively uncommon occurrence, according to a study conducted. However, they are not considered extremely rare either. The study found that approximately five percent of the participants had cherry angiomas with light-colored halos. Interestingly, these halos appeared more frequently in individuals over the age of 59 and in those who had more than four cherry angiomas larger than three millimeters in size.
