Common Causes of Testicle Pain

Kidney Stones: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatments

Kidney stones can cause excruciating pain that radiates from the kidneys down to the testicles. These stones are formed from condensed urinary crystals. Fortunately, most kidney stones can pass through the urinary system without medical intervention. Drinking ample amounts of water aids in the passage of the stones, although it can be a painful process as they navigate through the kidney, bladder, and eventually exit through the urethra. In cases where the pain becomes unbearable, pain medication is commonly prescribed as a treatment for kidney stones.
