Is Microscopic Hematuria a Possible Indication of Cancer?
While it is uncommon, there are instances where microscopic hematuria may serve as an indication of cancer. However, it is more likely for a diagnosis of cancer to be made following gross hematuria. Although an excessive presence of blood in the urine can potentially signify bladder cancer, it is not common for this symptom alone to be the sole basis for a cancer diagnosis.
