Great Full-Body Exercises To Do in Small Spaces

Superman: Strengthen Your Core and Upper Legs

The Superman exercise is an effective way to target your core and upper legs. To perform this exercise, start by lying on your stomach with your arms extended beyond your head. Engage your glutes and draw your shoulder blades down your back, ensuring that your shoulders are away from your ears. Lift your arms, head, legs, shoulders, and chest off the ground, focusing on stretching your hands and feet away from each other rather than lifting them as high as possible. Hold this position for a breath, then lower yourself back down and repeat the movement.

If you need to modify this exercise, you can try lifting only your arms and chest or only your legs instead of lifting all of them simultaneously.

Benefits of the Bent-Over Row Exercise

The bent-over row exercise, performed with dumbbells, is a highly effective way to enhance shoulder strength as it specifically targets the posterior deltoid muscles. To perform this exercise, start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in one hand. Allow your arm to hang straight below your shoulders while slightly bending your knees and leaning your chest forward. Alternatively, you can support your non-weight side by kneeling on a couch or bench. Next, bring the weight towards your armpit, pulling your elbow back towards your waist until it aligns with your back. Lower the weight and repeat the movement.
