Impostor Syndrome and Persistent Feelings of Inadequacy

The Superhero Sub-Type

The Superhero sub-type of impostor syndrome is a particularly challenging form that can have a significant impact on one’s mental health. Individuals who experience this sub-type often feel undeserving of their accomplishments and believe they are not good enough. As a result, they put immense pressure on themselves to work harder and over-perform in various aspects of their lives, including school, work, and personal relationships. This persistent need to compensate for perceived inadequacies can have severe consequences on their mental well-being.

The Independent Individual

The soloist is a sub-type of personality who strongly believes in their ability to handle every task independently. They view asking for help as a sign of weakness and incompetence. This type of person prefers to tackle all responsibilities on their own, both in the workplace and at home, even when support is needed. Their determination to juggle everything alone may result in additional stress and challenges.
