However, it’s important to note that the duration of lochia can vary from woman to woman, and each subsequent pregnancy may result in a different experience.


Causes of Lochia after C-Section

Lochia, the postpartum vaginal discharge, is not limited to women who have had a vaginal birth. Even women who have undergone a C-section experience lochia due to the healing process their bodies undergo after pregnancy. This discharge occurs as a result of the body eliminating extra tissue and blood that the baby required during gestation.
