Changes in Vaginal Discharge during Ovulation
During ovulation, one of the prominent indicators is the alteration in vaginal secretions. Typically, prior to ovulation, there is a surge in clear, slippery, and moist discharge that is often likened to the consistency of raw egg whites. However, once ovulation takes place, the quantity of mucus decreases, while its texture becomes denser, cloudy, and less conspicuous.
Tracking Ovulation through Cervical Position
One way to track ovulation is by observing the cervical position, which refers to the lower section of the uterus. As the body prepares for ovulation, the cervix undergoes changes that can be detected. Normally, the cervix feels firm, but as ovulation approaches, it becomes softer and rises due to increased estrogen levels in the body. Some individuals are able to determine their cervix position by inserting a finger into their vagina, while others may seek guidance from a fertility clinic or OB/GYN.
