Prognosis
The prognosis for myiasis is generally positive with timely medical intervention, as the condition can clear completely without causing any scarring or marks. Although there may be instances where minor scars or pigmentation persist after surgical treatment, such cases are rare. The recovery period varies depending on the specific type of infection and the extent to which the larvae have burrowed. Typically, it can take anywhere from one to two months for a full recovery to occur.
