Signs of Chickenpox

Fever: A Common Symptom of Chickenpox

When someone contracts chickenpox, it is not uncommon for them to experience a fever. This fever can often reach as high as 102 degrees Fahrenheit and typically lasts for one to two days. It usually presents itself at the beginning stages of the disease. Fever is a natural response of the immune system when the body is fighting off an infection.

Signs of Chickenpox

One of the early signs of chickenpox is experiencing flu-like symptoms. Many individuals who have contracted chickenpox report feeling general aches and pains a few days before the appearance of the characteristic rash. Alongside these aches and pains, other common flu-like symptoms include swollen glands, a sore throat, fever, and nausea. These symptoms typically persist for a short period, after which the chickenpox rash becomes visible, confirming the diagnosis.
