Reusing dental floss may seem like a frugal and environmentally friendly practice, but it is generally not recommended by dental associations worldwide. When floss is used multiple times, it tends to fray and break, leaving small threads lodged between the teeth. Additionally, simply washing the floss with water is insufficient to eliminate all the bacteria present on the string. As long as a person flosses at least once a day using the proper technique, the specific time of day may not matter.
