Eyelid Reshape (Blepharoplasty)
Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid reshape surgery, is a procedure that aims to tighten and reshape the eyelids. This cosmetic surgery can be performed on either the upper eyelids or the lower eyelids, as they are two separate procedures. The surgeon begins by making an incision along the skin crease of the targeted eyelid, either upper or lower. Excess skin and fat that contribute to issues such as dark circles, puffy eyes, or wrinkles are then carefully removed. The result of an upper-eyelid reduction is a more youthful appearance, while a lower-eyelid reduction helps to minimize the appearance of wrinkles. To ensure the patient’s comfort, these operations are conducted under general anesthesia and typically last between one to two hours.
Facelift: A Youthful Transformation
A facelift, also known as rhytidectomy, is a popular cosmetic surgery that can effectively rejuvenate one’s appearance. This procedure involves the skilled hands of a surgeon who carefully lifts and tightens the facial skin. It is common for a facelift to be combined with a neck lift (known as platysmaplasty) to achieve comprehensive results. By addressing sagging skin and diminishing deep folds like smile lines, a successful facelift can restore a more youthful look. However, it’s important to note that the effects of a facelift are not permanent and typically last for about 10 years.
