Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

Tarsal tunnel syndrome is a condition that occurs when there is pressure on the posterior tibial nerve, which is located in the inner heel. This pressure can lead to symptoms such as numbness and tingling in the ankle and the surrounding area. Although less common than carpal tunnel syndrome, tarsal tunnel syndrome is equally as painful and can cause tightness, shooting pain, burning sensations, and even shock-like sensations.

Understanding Arthritis

Arthritis is a condition characterized by various forms, each presenting unique challenges. One common type is osteoarthritis, which occurs when the cartilage between bones breaks down. This can lead to intense joint pain as the bones start to grind against each other. Consequently, bone spurs and inflammation may develop, causing discomfort regardless of the affected area in the body.
