Armpit pain can be caused by various factors, including a relatively uncommon chronic condition known as Hidradenitis suppurativa. This condition leads to the formation of painful boils under the skin. Typically, it occurs in areas where the skin rubs together, such as the armpit. The development of boils is followed by swelling, drainage, and eventual healing. Unfortunately, this healing process often leaves behind thick scars that can cause ongoing pain and limit mobility.
