Post-nasal drip, also known as rhinorrhea, is a common condition that occurs during colds and other respiratory illnesses. It is characterized by the excessive flow of fluid from the nasal tissues into the throat. This excess fluid can irritate the throat, leading to symptoms such as an itchy throat and a persistent cough. Interestingly, post-nasal drip can even be triggered by consuming spicy foods in some cases.
