10 Home Remedies for Jock Itch

6. Honey

You may not know it, but honey has antibacterial, antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties. It’s one of nature’s only sweeteners that is 100% organic. Even sugar cane has to be heavily processed first, whereas honey can be eaten right off the comb. What we mean to say is that its natural properties are not interfered with, and by placing honey on the infected area and leaving it for 30 minutes before rinsing off, you might be able to get some real jock itch relief.

7. Baking Soda

Chemically speaking, baking soda will do a lot of what salt will, without having to actually soak in a bath to get the effects. So this is a much more on-the-go sort of remedy. Basically, just mix a tablespoon of baking soda with equal parts of water to make a paste, and then gently apply this to the infected area. Like with every other paste-based remedy here, allow it to set on the area for around 30 minutes before rinsing off. The end result is that a lot of the moisture and bacteria will be drawn from the area.
