4. Fatigue
This is a very common symptom of most conditions. One reason for this is that your body is begging for you to slow down so that you will rest and recover from the kidney infection. Another more dangerous reason is that you may be developing anemia from the infection. Anemia’s hallmark symptom is fatigue.
If the kidney infection is severe or not properly treated, then this can lead to chronic kidney damage. Aside from making urine, your kidneys also produce the hormones needed for bone marrow to produce red blood cells. This leads to reduced oxygen in the body, which eventually causes anemia.
5. Rashes
If you see a skin rash, then you will probably think it’s just allergies or something that irritated your skin. The truth is that the rash might be due to a kidney infection or even the more serious kidney failure.
Your kidneys are responsible for removing waste from the body. If the kidneys aren’t functioning properly, then excess waste will build up. This can lead to itching, which may develop as a rash that gets worse as you itch it.
