10 Signs Of Bone Cancer

Burning, Numbness and Tingling

Bone cancer will eventually progress to the nerves within the bone. This usually creates a burning, numbing or tingling sensation. Unlike other types of pain, nerve pain tends to be harder to describer to doctors and it may delay a proper diagnosis. Bone cancer will interfere with how bones normally function, which leads to irritation of the nerves, damaging nerves within the bones and making them more sensitive. Not only that, but this is also a sign that the tumors will begin quickly growing. This worsens the overall symptoms.

Joint Swelling and Stiffness

Though not always the case, bone cancer most frequently develops around the upper arm and leg joints. These joints will feel tender and somewhat painful. The tumors will also make the joints feel stiff while limiting your movements. The affected joints will then begin to swell and redness will appear around the area. This typically occurs within several weeks after feeling the initial stiffness. You may also feel a mass or lump around the joint. A doctor will check these areas to see what the cause of the joint issue is.
