Challenges in Supporting the Head
Individuals who have progressed to an advanced stage of ALS commonly face difficulties in managing their neck muscles, leading to a condition known as dropped head syndrome. This condition arises due to the weakening of the muscles at the back of the neck, necessitating the use of neck braces for individuals with ALS.
