Mood Swings: How Your Body Reacts to Physical Stress

What Causes Loss of Skin Elasticity?

Loss of skin elasticity occurs when the body becomes dehydrated. A simple test to determine if your skin has lost its elasticity is to pinch a small section of skin between your forefinger and thumb, pull it up, and then release it. If the skin takes a significant amount of time to return to its original size or lacks any bounce, it is a clear indication of decreased elasticity. Additionally, you may notice that your skin feels dry, lacks moisture, and appears slightly shriveled in areas where the skin folds.
