Vomiting
When your body is trying to cope with a bowel obstruction, you may have pain and nausea to the point of throwing up. This is a definite indication that you need to seek medical assistance. Your obstruction could lead to the formation of an abscess or infection. If your fecal matter were to back up and you contained fecal matter in your vomit, you may have an infection that is deep in your intestinal tract.
Losing Your Appetite
It’s common to lose your appetite when you’re not feeling well, and diverticulitis is no different. You may have an appetite loss due to your pain, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea. Some people even experience weight loss.
