Phase 2 Symptoms of Kawasaki Syndrome
During the second phase of Kawasaki syndrome, the symptoms tend to diminish but may still linger for some time. The fever experienced by the child will subside, and they may begin to experience joint pain, abdominal pain, diarrhea, jaundice of the skin and eyes, as well as a general feeling of lethargy or lack of energy. The duration of this phase can vary and is influenced by various factors, such as the promptness of treatment initiation. However, it typically occurs within two weeks after the onset of the fever.
Phase 3 Symptoms
Signs of Kawasaki disease start to diminish and eventually vanish completely during phase three. However, in certain instances, fatigue may persist for an extended duration. It may take up to eight weeks for a child to regain their usual energy levels. Occasionally, complications may arise, thereby prolonging the recovery process.
