Types of Blastomas
Blastoma tumors are a specific type of cancer that originates from embryonic tissue. They primarily affect children, making them more prevalent in pediatric cases than in adults. These tumors can develop in various parts of the body, including the brain, retina, bones, and nervous system. Due to their high occurrence in children, blastomas are among the most worrisome types of cancer and pose significant challenges to effective surgical treatment.
